| | | Welford Park Snowdrops I think Stewy mentioned Welford Park a little while ago but after living close by for more than 25 years, I thought I should pay my first visit. It was a lousy day for it - really dull and very cold. In fact we almost died from hypothermia! However, we thought this week would be better than next which is half term week.
It was really beautiful. I have never seen so many snowdrops. It must be even more beautiful when the sun shines.
Here are a couple of photos, but please bear in mind the poor light conditions. A little bit of brightness would have made the photos more vibrant.

| | | Re: Welford Park Snowdrops They look lovely. Like you I haven't visited there yet despite living in Reading all my life but I'm hoping to go at the weekend or early next week depending on weather.
Seeing your photos has made me more resolute that I will go!

| | | Re: Welford Park Snowdrops Claire,
I would not leave it too long. I think the snowdrops were early this year and the sooner you visit the better, but a brighter day than today would be useful.
I think they close on 2nd March.

Jenny | Cheers, I think I'll have to go on Saturday, it's supposed to be sunny!

I hope you don't get any coach tours. There were none today but I guess it can get a bit crowded.
