suggestions for the back of my bog garden, please. i don't want ivy mind. there's an evergreen honeysuckle is there not? |

Yeah, I've got an evergreen honeysuckle. Any reason you don't want ivy? Great for wildlife...
Do you mind if the plants are poionous?

i don't mind poison and i have had ivy up to *here* of late. i might pop some in at a later date though. |

light and soil conditions?
I have something in the garden but don't remember it's name, is evergreen, the leaves turn purpleish in autumn. Seems to grow very fast and is shade tolerant, will have a look in the light.

sunny during the morning, shadey during the afternoon. soil damp, clay or rich, composty bog; it will have a choice of either, really. |

we have an evergreen honeysuckle,,,The birds like to nest in it,,, It doesnt spread everywhere like ivy,,, great plant

Both Lesser + Greater Periwinkles, Vinca minor + V. major, are evergreen creepers, though the latter can be rampant. Latter also in variegated form. |

| No, 'fraid not. The only native evergreen climber in the UK is ivy....but the native honeysuckle, Lonicera periclymenum, can be semi-evergreen (depending on where you're living).
