Found this a couple of days ago on the edge of a pathway in my local park..
Would appreciate help with an ID please..

I'm not an expert but the moss could be a species of Rhytidiadelphus.
Don't know about the 'flowers'; I've never seen that effect before.

not a moss expert but don't be confused by the they look like some kind of fungus......not a fungi expert also.
but it does look unusual, i've never noticed it before.

I know very few mosses- but none flower (though it looks like it in your photo!). It looks to me like a fungus on the moss, but that is outside my expertise! |

The moss is Rhytidiadelphus squarrosus as the others have said the "flowers" look like some sort of fungus.

The little 'flowers' are the fungi Arrhenia spathulata - little cream flattened lobes and if you look underneath the gills are fold-like and forked! Nice find Julie - I first found it years ago in live moss (its habitat) at the Wigan Flashes during a foray!
