Don't know about the 'flowers'; I've never seen that effect before.

| | | Re: Unknown type of moss with a delicate flower The little 'flowers' are the fungi Arrhenia spathulata - little cream flattened lobes and if you look underneath the gills are fold-like and forked! Nice find Julie - I first found it years ago in live moss (its habitat) at the Wigan Flashes during a foray!
