access your picture go to Image: resize - resize your picture to about 1000 x 800 (i.e. a screenful); save it (under a new name unless you want to lose your original image) - it should upload easily. |

Or have I got the 8 and 6 the wrong way round? | You can now upload any image size you like, provided the width is always at least 800 pixels. The system will re-size any large image down to 880 pixels.
That's why when you view an image you have the option of clicking on it to also see it at the size it was uploaded.
As people get larger and larger monitors in due course we may want to see our images in a larger format, the system now allows for this.
