I not very good at plant ID so could someone confirm if this is vipers bugloss please. Thanks.

Bugle - Ajuga reptans seems most likely although the colour is more blue than on this image.

I know what you are saying Wildone, but you can see that the sunlight is on the plant and so bleaching the colour for the photo.................Jon

Thanks , I think thats it. Looked up your answer and its distribution and description seems to fit the habitat I found it in.
