Hi there - 1 looks like Alexandrian Laurel, Danae racemosa.
2 could be Spear Thistle, Cirsium vulgare, but not 100% sure as I can't see the leaves too well, but its still giving the occasional flower here in West Cork.

1 is definitely Butcher's Broom, Rucus aculeatus, an ancient woodland plant, but it's also a popular shade plant in parks/gardens so will occur as a naturalised plant from bird droppings.
Need more detail to be totally sure about thistle ID. |
