| | | Larch Hi all,
What is the best way of extracting the seeds out of the cones of Larches? I've picked a few off a Larch today with the idea of trying to grow a few but the cones are totally closed up
Thanks

| | | Re: Larch Try putting them in your airing cupboard or on top of your main water boiler. A hot radiator should do as well. The heat should make the cones open up and the seeds fall out if they are ripe enough.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Larch Drying the cones - as Adam suggests - in an airing cupboard is the way to go. A gradual warmth is best, place the cones in a paper bag, that way you can leave them and not worrying about getting seeds spread through your clean towels

| | | Re: Larch I've had some in the airing cupboard for a couple of days and they've opened up a bit, but no seeds have fallen out how open do they have to be to fall out? | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
