| | | Re: Common Toadflax I think. Yes, I think that's Common Toadflax too. I think it is a lovely flower - I've seen it two or three times recently, having not seen it much at all earlier in the year (it flowers from June to October according to one of my flower books). |

I think my favourite toadflax has to be Ivy Leaf Toadflax, I love the way it self seeds and climbs and drapes over walls and steps. I have one growing up a small willow at the mo’ which still has a few of the purple flowers on. In my very shady fore- court garden it has self seeded and looks great, I am waiting for it to do a bit more climbing yet. It started off about 10 houses up the road growing along the edge of their wall and over the years spread down the street eventually getting to me last year. The tiny flowers are so delicate and quite enchanting - real beauties. |
