Violet ID
Both images were made in 2004, thr first 9th April and the second 15th May in seemingly diferent habitats. The lower petals are also diferent. Are they the same plant please?

I'm no expert but I'll have a go at Heath Dog Violet - Viola canina ?
Maybe an expert will put me rite.

Thanks Paul. I thought they are, maybe, early and/or common. They do appear to have differences. Like you I hope an expert might, as usual, keep me right.
