Hi Dave - this is a 'from the books' suggestion as its not a plant Ive seen, but it could be either a Marsh Helleborine (epipactis palustris) or Broad-leaved Hellorbine (E.helleborine)
At least thats a bit of a clue for you to check out...... |

Hi - this could be a Stream Orchid (Giant Helliborine) at a guess. As per first idea above. However, I understand it is not thought to grow wild in Britain. When and approx. where taken?
See if anyone else has any ideas.

The photo was taken 12 August 2007, and the plant, as you can see, was a little past its best. The photo was taken in woodland, but only 10 yards in from a Field. |
