I seem to be in Mullein-mode at the moment!
This one seeds itself all over a friends vegetable patch.....the woman who used to live there was well into her herbaceous perennials and I'm wondering if this is a surviving verbascum cultivar......?
First thought was Dark Mullein (V.nigrum) but the anthers are the wrong colour....   |

The Anthers seem right to me to identify it as Dark Mullein (Verbascum Nigra). |

Sorry, should have said filaments.....they are yellow on this plant, and should (according to the books) be purple for Dark Mullein..... |

I think it might be Orange Mullein, Verbascum phlomoides. This is naturalised in places around London. |

I would agree that it is Orange Mullein.
Dark Mullein has much smaller flowers and is a shorter plant. |
