Hello,
I was wondering if someone knowledgeable about such things might be able to give me a breakdown of the ten most common trees in Britain......Meant to be doing a presentation

Ash
Beech
Birch
Crab apple
Hawthorn
Holly
Oak
Poplar
Willow.

A few differnt ones here to add ..these are very common in my area.

Sycamore
Rowan
Horse chestnut
Common Lime

Forest of Leeds - Listing of tree species

......... claims that there are only 33 trees native to the UK. So perhaps this narrows the list down.
On another site it is claimed that the Alder is the most common in the UK.

Fir (all types)
Hawthorn
Oak
Pine
Sycamore

Not sure what is the most commonest, can vary from place to place.
