Catmint?

I photographed this at the weekend in St James Gardens in Liverpool. It was growing through the disintergrated tarmac on one of the walkways overlooking the gardens. Anyone know what it is? I thought it may be Catmint it did have an aroma to it. Thanks

To me it looks like a Salvia (Mint Family) of some description. Not sure if its Catmint though?

Not a catmint, Nepeta, but it's Clary, Salvia sclarea, a plant I've seen commonly in the wild in Kazakhstan, but it is fairly common in UK gardens + often seeds itself around. Sometimes referred to as S. sclarea var. turkestanica. It's quite a smelly plant, though not too unpleasant.

Thanks Aeshna5 for the info, I noticed another couple of clumps of it on my way into work this morning with fresher looking flowers. I quite liked the aroma of it
