Second flowering of this plant this year. I have an idea what it is but not entirely sure. Help appreciated.

I was going to say green alkanet Pentaglottis sempervirens

but that stops flowering in July according to my book!

I have this growing in my garden but no flowers. Is it Borage?

Hi - it is Green Alknanet.
The 'flowering times' in books are only a general guide and you'll often find 'out of season' flowers on plants. I've seen quite a lot of Green Alkanet in flower in both England and SW Ireland the last few weeks.

Thanks for the replies. I initially thought Borage, but then tentatively id'ed it as Green Alkanet. It flowered back in May/June then died back and new plants sprang up again and are in flower now. Thanks again
