| | | Oak leaves
Has anyone been doing the same as me today, mowing the lawn and loads of Oak leaves. I noticed them last weekend. The Acorns haven't even reached full size yet.
The poor trees don't know whether summers just started or finished !

There is quite alot of acorns around here but my apple tree is losing leaves really bad.
Don't know much about cherry trees but the chap next door has one and it has nothing on it at all, no cherries or leaves.

in one of my posts i said i didnt know if my oak tree in a pot is dead or alive because all its leaves have fell off,so perhaps its ok after all if this is happening to mature trees. |

No leaves being lost from my Oaks yet, and have not noticed any on local trees at this time.

looks as if autumn has started in Ireland. This is from BBC news.  Leaves are already starting to fall off some trees in Belfast, even though it's only the end of August, giving all the indications that Autumn may have arrived early.

Is it the right time for acorns to be dropping? Was sat in the car under an oak and I was pelted from above.. (overpopulation of squirrels?) |
