My son started growing a sunflower at school before the holidays and i was wondering when do they get the flower?
Its about 3 foot tall now and i've put it in a bigger pot.

For continuity of blooms for floral arrangements, sow a succession of sunflowers every fortnight for six weeks in the early part of the growing season. In a hot summer, each cycle from sowing to blooming will take about 60 days.

3 foot in about 4 to 5 weeks is ours.

At this rate by time it gets the flower i will be able to act out jack and the beanstalk with my son!!

jen xxx | Strange  I think it should have flowered by now. I have a few smaller varieties (Music box) in my garden and they have bloomed. Also we have a field full near where we live. Have you been feeding it too much fertiliser? |
