| | | Re: wild orchid help please! Are you able to post a picture of it on the site? If you need help with this you can look at one of the video guides (link at top right). |

Fleur | to post the photo, go to the Gallery, click download and then post the image in forum images. once you've done that you should be able to copy the code that starts [img] into a new post in this thread. there are some better instructions somewhere if these aren't any good!

| Its not so bad when you get your head round it.....
Go to ' Gallery' - 'Unidentified' - 'Upload'
A form opens up - hit 'browse' - find where your photo is in your computer and hit 'open'
Give it a 'Title' but don't worry about the other bits, ... 'Submit'
When your picture loads you will see 2 lots of code below it - copy the lowest one (you might have to try a few times to get the full code - the end of it will look like this - .jpg[/img] )
To add to a post - back to 'Forums' - paste that code into your new post and (fingers crossed) there it is.... |

| | | Re: wild orchid help please! Hello chaps, thanks so much for help. sadly still could not download - image too small it tells me. Ho hum, no time to look into that right now.... Basically I have what looks like Epipactis helleborine in the pics on your Orchid section although the pic in my books does not look like this and the leaves are more lanceolate than broad. The RHS came up with Cephalanthera damasonium (pic sent before it flowered), although conditions/ flowering time did not tally. Am pondering E. leoptochila or even muelleri (would'nt that be nice!). Conditions are v damp (it has chosen to grow near a drainage ditch) and shady in an unmanaged ancient previosly coppiced (predominately ash/ field maple/ oak) woodland. Frustratingly will be off line for a few days but would love to see some images of the above orchids should any one have them in order to compare. Thanks again.
