Was over Hatfield Forest today and came across this little lady....
About 10cm's in hight .... Hobjob will curse me I suppose for not id'ing it after he gave me some tuition using the Collins wild flowers book

Just looked in the Collins book, spot on. However it is not in the main key ? or I am missing something ? |

Did you look up three leaves or yellow flowers?
That is a lovely photo 
It can't be that common because it is not on my patch |

It can't be that common because it is not on my patch  | It is a very common plant; I'll be surprised if there's not some somewhere near you. Needs open habitat + reasonable drainage- often in lawns that aren't poisoned by weedkillers + roadsides.
Has c70 local names such as Granny's Toe-nails (because of fruits), Bacon + eggs (flower colour of some forms) + Lady's Slipper shape of flower) + is an important larval food plant for various Lepidoptera such as Common Blue, Dingy Skipper, Green Hairstreak, burnets, Burnet Companion, etc. |

It is in the book but when looking under yellow two lipped flowers it does not cross reference.... |
