| | | scotland flower and orchids for id. i went to scotland a few weeks ago, and i took some pictures. have just finished downloading them and came across these.... the first two are round leaved sundew, and i think the orchids are common spotted/heath spotted??? and northern marsh orchid, but the blue flower has me stumped. i'd be grateful if someone can confirm (or correct  ) the orchids, and id the blue flower! thanks

Im going to suggest that the second orchid is a Northern marsh. Colour looks reasonable plus you have the expected lip markings and shape. Top orchid difficult to say from that angle!
Love the sqill photos, found them myself last year.

| | | Re: scotland flower and orchids for id. The 1st orchid is Dactylorhiza maculata, the Heath Spotted-orchid the second is Dactylorhiza majalis var. purpurella, the Northern Marsh-orchid. |
