Bear in mind if you grow it and the conditions are favourable it spreads like wildfire. Looking forward to getting the soup recipe! | Any chance anyone out there is willing to sell me seeds or seedlings of this stuff? I'm looking for this stuff all over the net. B&T Seeds sold it but no longer. I'm more than willing to make it worth someone's trouble.
I am trying to make the colombian dish Ajiaco. It's a chicken and potatoe/corn soup and it's great but it requires the herb that is also this weed. It requires fresh Guascas which is "Gallant Soldier" or Galinsoga Parviflora.
If you know of anyone that might know how I can get my hands on it, the plant, or the seeds I would appreciate a point in the right direction.
If you want to contact me directly, send me an email to rubenrleon at gmail dot com.
Sincere thanks,
Ruben

| | | Re: Gallant Soldier Me too ! I'm after Galinsoga parviflora / Guascas / Gallant Soldier too also to make Ajiaco. So if anyone does fancy popping a seed head, a bit of root or what have you in an envelope I'd be most grateful.
Thanks,
Geoff. |

| | | Re: Gallant Soldier Well, I'm working on it currently. Have a source that will get me some seedlings or more mature. I'm going to compensate the person with them growing wild in their garden. Awaiting them to sprout within weeks. If you're interested in a co-op to get this stuff fresh and plant it so you have some let me know. But other than that, it's really tough to get fresh. You have no idea.
