| | | Perennial Cornflower - another attractive escape I've been taking pics for a few years but only recently started to take greater interest in identification. This forums been of immense assistance.
I've been going through 100's of pics of flowers to try and identify and sort. I have come across this one - Perennial Cornflower - and was impressed by colour and structure. It's another escape, like Orange Hawkweed, that I think adds to the attraction of the countryside.
Do you agree and are there other examples worth a mention and looking out for? |

| | Re: Perennial Cornflower - another attractive escape I love recording aliens as it gets you a mention in the BSBI Watsonia. Tagetes patula is one I look out for as it is still a rarity in the wild I have however never as yet found Perrennial Cornflower but it has sprung me into action to find a Suffolk one. |

Whats 'BSBI Watsonia' and 'tagetes patula'. Remember some of us are new and unfamiliar with lot of things. How about an explanation or, if it's a flower, a picture? |

| | | Re: Perennial Cornflower - another attractive escape Just identified this plant in my garden which has been growing over my rockery and beds, lovely colour and great for the bees but would like to get rid of it from rockery and keep it contained if possible, finding it hard to pull up and transplant, any tips? |

This says it all. It is an attractive garden plant that can become a pest. The only possible interest in discovering it in the wild is to ensure it gets removed before it becomes a pest there.
All the best
