Battered Buttercup?

Can someone confirm that this is a rain-battered meadow buttercup or am I mistaking it for another flower? Thanks in advance

It's certainly a buttercup, but with just the flower can't say for certain which species, but quite possibly Meadow- have you got a picture of the leaves? It's certainly a pale coloured variant- sometimes see these variants for sale at horticultural shows.

Thanks aeshna5. I haven't got a photo of the leaves (I really must get in the habit of doing this!) but the leaves did look like those of a meadow buttercup.

If the leaves looked right, then you're probably correct in calling it Meadow Buttercup. This is the species I've seen pale varieties for sale, along with Lesser Celandine, which is technically a buttercup.
