| | | Help Please on this flower.......
I have tried this image on several web sites similar to this one, and as yet no one has come up with a solid suggestion for this plant. I found it growing on a coastal path on Portland, and there was only one clump of it. So far this site has come to my rescue on a number of occasions, so please see if any one can sort this one out..... |

See: Pink-Sorrel | Very good point Hornbeam - I could make several things of these flowers but the leaves would be distinctive! A plea to everyone flowers in the picture, of course, but also the leaves along with some idea of the size ....

| | | Re: Help Please on this flower....... while I would agree it is always useful to have leaves in a picture, in this case I think it may have been difficult.
I grow quite a several plants of this species in my garden and frequently find that the leaflets 'disappear' leaving naked leaf stalks - you can see quite a few of these in hooklink's picture. It seems to be a feature of this species |

| | | Re: Help Please on this flower....... Yes, it is the same, I just prefer the older name for it rather than sorrel, same goes for its more menacing smaller relative Yellow Oxsalis (sorrel).
Garden Jobby - I could have called it one of my more disparaging names for a garden escape, but I know there are ladies out there.

| | | Re: Help Please on this flower....... Well I have to say after all this great comment that I could see no leaves at all at the time of taking the photo, I spend a lot of time photographing plants. and am well aware of the importantance of trying to get all the bits and pieces of the plant in a image, but on this occasion there were none to see,sorry...
