Finding difficult to I.D. the fourth picture down on the following page: Swansea Vale Nature Reserve: The First Hatchling
as the plant seems to be dying. The actual coloiur of the petals are a very pale lilac - was thinking the plack was a Cuckoo Flower but the weird stems seem at odds with photos I have seen of this plant.

Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata) - the crushed leaves have a garlicy smell. It is sometimes used as a foodplant by Orange-tip butterflies. |
