| | | A Glorious Day in the Outer Hebrides I want to share Well folks, I am so very proud I had to show you these photos, not proud of the photos but of the beauty of a spring day in the Outer Hebrides. Got up this morning to brillant blue skies, no wind and mild conditions. Sent the other half off to work, got my coat (not needed) and camera and I dashed 2 minutes to the beach.....this is the view that I saw:
The dunes in the distance is the airport runway, not many airports can aspire to be in such a great place...except for Barra.
Another view from 5 minutes around the bay
Went out in the Afternoon birding in South Uist and onto the 'rocket range' beaches, just me and Dave and flocks of birds. The first picture is not about the bird but the blue sky.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures, and remember any Wild about Britain member that comes up and visits the islands the first drink is on me. I am already hopefully going to give away a few....
Take Care Debs |

But the offer of a drink still stands!
This is sunrise over Berneray, taken from my ferry on the way to work on my Phone, what a way to commute better than the London Underground I used to take

Richard | Don't know Richard want to manage the Western Isles Health Board Finances? You get to travel to Barra, etc. on business and eat lots of chocolate in the scenic hospitals. |

Looks like it is back to work in Essex tomorrow then ....
Sounds like you had an excellent day for weather and birds. I haven't responded to your other message thread as it seems that you and John have a private thing going on and I did not want to intrude .
