Downy emerald
Brilliant emerald
Azure hawker
Golden-Ringed dragonfly
Highland darter
Adonis blue butterfly
Marbled white butterfly
So this list should get me about a bit this Summer, does anyone have any good tips on sites for any of these species? |

Have you seen this website before. http://butterfly-conservation.org/species/bdata/
I don't know if it will give you the answers you are looking for.

Look on the NBN Gateway ( www.searchnbn.net). You'll be able to refine your search to, for example, nature reserves, which will solve any problems about access for the public.

| | | Re: Where are you going? I have gone for a nice big Merc estate car and can lay down a single matress in the back, with the passenger seats folded down. I will get the roofbars out and have the bikes up on the roof this summer. Then I will be as free as a bird. I have seen a fair bit of Wales this winter and definitely some places I would like to spend the weekend at. Wales is growing on me big time. I have seen some fantastic housing developments over the past few weeks, really sympathetic to their suuroundings. I have taken the long way home on a few occasions and can definitely see myself exploring the Principality some more this year. I also would like to go way up North Scotland and Southern Ireland. Have to say I enjoy the coast the most and feel that is where I will get the best cycling in. I think this year will be a big year for me travelling and I can't wait for improved weather

| | | Re: Where are you going? I just want some decent weather so I can get out and play with my EOS 20D, I'm getting a bit fed up of taking photos of pot plants and Dragonfly exuvia now!!
Apart from that I'd had roughly the same idea as you Boddie, I've just been out and bought a Vauxhall Zafira, that car has some serious space when the seats are flattened, I can feel a trip to Scotland coming on |

I will camp when I can but its not always practical with my bikes. A night wrapped up, under the stars, in the back of my motor, after a big fat ride. Nice.
