| | | Sell your county. If you had to name 3 places in your county that would sell it to me. What would they be?This is mine.
KENT
1-The North Downs. A range of chalk downs with all of it's wonderful scenery and species.
2-The North Kent Marshes. A land of wonderous species and incredible history.
3-The white cliffs of Dover. To me coming home and keeping our land safe during WW2.

| | | Re: Sell your county. My county is Lincolnshire
1- The Lincolnshire wolds, those beautiful rolling hills and valleys my favourite place at any time of the year
2- The Lincolnshire coast with it's rich variety of bird life and the spectacle of the Seals at Donna Nook
3- Lincoln city itself with it's magnificent cathedral and castle and all the quaint little shops on Steep Hill at Lincoln

1. The Fens.. there is such beauty in this countryside... despite it being flat!
2 The Wash marshes. The wildlife is great.. the colours are wonderful
3 The Nene Cut. I drive down one side and up the other several times a week and never fail to see something of interest
In fact... I think the whole lot is wonderful. I am not a lincolnshire lass either.

| | | Re: Sell your county. I'm in Cheshire, so Alderley Edge gets my vote, especially as my dog just loves the place. Another would have to be Delamere Forest for it's swamps and dragonflies, and then a bit further on to Birkenhead, with the Dee estuary on one side and the Mersey on the other.
However, the lure of the peak district means is usually so strong that I don't often look around much more of the county. I'm a big fan of hills and woodland and Derbyshire definitely wins on both counts.

| | | Re: Sell your county. My first would be Derbyshire as it is only 10 minutes walk away! There is something for everyone who enjoys the countryside. It's been my back garden for over 50 years
My second has to be the Yorkshire Dales National Park, especially along the river Swale between Keld and Richmond.
… and my third would be the Yorkshire coast, especially from Robin Hood’s Bay to Runswick Bay. There is no other better coastline.
But I must confess, I do love the lake district Especially all of it | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
