Description
Welcome to the first official Yorkshire Dales National Park app! This version covers the area around Malham in the south and Hawes in the north of the national park, we will be adding new locations shortly. We’ve developed the app with a wide range of visitors in mind, from those with limited mobility to those who enjoy all-day mountain biking adventures. It includes places of interest (POIs), some are well-known visitor attractions, others well-off the beaten track, use the GPS on your phone to find them all; there are walking, road-cycling and mountain biking routes with both Google and Ordnance Survey mapping and also our spectacular 360° panoramic views of the national park’s amazing scenery, all again with GPS locations.
The 3G network signal can be patchy in the remoter parts of the National Park. We’ve added links to our websites for you to browse when you hit a wifi hotspot or when you get a good 3G signal but most of what you need is already included in the contents of the app.
The app has been developed by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority as part of their Go Dales! project with generous funding from Sports England. App design by Audiotrails as part of their ‘Welcome to…’ series
