| | | Flora and Fauna Clumber Park Nottinghamshire Sorry if this is the incorrect place...
I’m a university student and I have an assignment to conduct a theoretical Environmental Impact assessment on building a Dam at Clumber Park. I’m having difficulty compiling an extensive species list to fully support my report. My university isn’t going to Clumber Park and I don’t drive! So unfortunately getting there wont be easy and with only 2 weeks to complete this report the chances are I wont get to visit before its due..
I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere I can go Website etc or any books/magazines etc that might have more detailed information on the flora and fauna at Clumber Park?
Thank you |

| | | Re: Flora and Fauna Clumber Park Nottinghamshire As it is theoretical, why not use a bit of "poetic licence" and consider the wildlife to be similar to a place that you do know well?
What would the impact be of damming any stream / river near to you?
don't just consider the losses, but also the potential gains.
My suggestion is just a thought, consider it or abandon it as you chose.

| | | Re: Flora and Fauna Clumber Park Nottinghamshire Been waiting for a chance to go there myself but it's still not open until at least this weekend. It'll be sad to count how many lime trees they've lost on that rather marvellous avenue.
Anyway, my interest stirred, and Google came up with a F&F rundown here. |

| | | Re: Flora and Fauna Clumber Park Nottinghamshire Hi Purplecrayon and welcome to WAB.
Just a Google on “the flora and fauna at Clumber Park” UK should provide relevant information! Also, since Clumber Park belongs to the National Trust, this should provide further information too.
So, what did your assignment feasibility study determine? If you can't find the information ... state so in your assignment!
Good luck
