| | | Re: Pembrokeshire You could try Ramsey and St Davids Head. Great place for sea birds, Seals, Porpoise etc. I saw my first Chough on St Davids head and counted over 200 porpoise in an afternoons Mackrel Fishing. Perhaps some locals on here can point you to some hots spots in this area...i love this area of Wales. |

| | | Re: Pembrokeshire Hi Neil,
I had a week down there last May and would certainly recommend a walk around Dinas Head. You'll get to see nesting Razorbills, Guillemots and Fulmars at fairly close range (but do be careful on the cliff edges ) as well as good opportunities of overhead (ie. looking down on the birds) flight shots of these and other species of seabirds.
There's also a good chance of Choughs, possibility of Ravens and you'll certainly get good close views of Wheatears and Stonechats.
As a bonus, you'll also see some quite spectacular sea/cliff/coastal landscapes.
I do hope you manage to get over to Skomer - when we were there the daily boat trips were cancelled for 3 successive days due to adverse wind conditions making landing impossible, but thankfully there's much to see around the headland overlooking the island.
Have a good trip
Jeff
