Its a shame that the council have now removed the sign (like the kill-joys that they are....) but not before I snapped the pic. Not sure who put it there, or why, but it's a good one!

Isn't that just great.
I can understand there may be byelaws that require the local authority to remove it, but in Stanhope it is not going to create much of a problem.
