| | | Worth it It only takes one day like this to make up for any number of times you have been rained on, hailed and snowed on, blown off your feet only to get to the top and see nothing.

| | | Re: Worth it Wow, never seen Beinn Eighe or Liathach in such glorious conditions. In fact, not seen much of the mountains of Scotland in such glorious conditions! Although I did have a nice day climbing Ben More on Mull last month.

| | | Re: Worth it Hi Chris,
We were very lucky as we had two weeks (bar one day) of sunshine from dawn to dusk.
The photos were taken from close to Spidean Coire nan Clach. There were about 6 folks there at the time. None of us could believe just how hot and still it was at over 3,000 feet.

| | | Re: Worth it Tringa, I was up in that area a couple of winters ago and the weather was pretty poor most of the time. We did get one day when Liathach almost fully showed itself. I had never seen it in the flesh before and was staggered by its colossal form and bulk. I don't think another British mountain has had such an immediate impact on me as 'the grey one'. I liked the look of Beinn Eighe too, with its pale quartzite shades. Along with the Cuillins on Skye, the Torridonian giants I think are the finest mountains in Britain. I loved your photos. They make me want to go up there in decent weather.
Regards, Chris

| | | Re: Worth it Thanks for the comments, though its fairly easy to come away with something decent(ish) with weather like that.
I'm with you Chris about Liathach -"stunning", doesn't come close.
Scotland has so many wonderful hills but if I had to restrict myself, it could easily be in and around Torridon.
