| | | Top Gear Rock Climbing Did anyone see Top Gear last night with the guy rock climbing in a race to beat Jeremy Clarkson up a hillside? Outstanding bit of footage of a speed climber - I think he was called Leo Houlding - literally jumping between ledges on the vertical rockface, 100s of feet above the ground. |

| | | Re: Top Gear Rock Climbing I think it was the new Audi RS4. I would have taken more notice, but the rock climbing was incredible. If you've seen the opening shots of Mission Impossible 2, where Tom Cruise is free climbing and hanging on by his finger tips - that was child's play compared to what this climber was doing...and this guy didn't have any safety ropes or special effects |

Apparently. The rock on Miss Imp was only 20 foot high though as Tom Cruise is only 2 foot 4 inches

| | | Re: Top Gear Rock Climbing My first post:
Wow! I too saw the programme. I'm soon to begin a climbing course. I did some whilst at school and loved it. Watching Leo's super-human scaling is all the inspiration I need! It was great to see Clarkson humbled in such an awesome manner. He said Leo was one of the twenty greatest climbers to have ever lived. I don't have a great frame of reference but I'm sure he is correct.
After I've completed the course I'd like to join a club. Would anyone be able to recommed one; I'm live in Bury outside of Manchester.
Cheers
