I have a photo of a grassy hillock near the Shooting Box car park on top of the Long Mynd, but I don't know if this grassy hillock is the 'Shooting Box' or just a plain grassy hillock.
The only photo I've been able to find for comparison is
this one on the National Trust website. The photo looks similar to mine, but also different in some ways.
The grid reference they give (
map) doesn't seem to match up to where my photo was taken, and it doesn't look like there is anything there apart from heather.
My photo looks like this:
It doesn't seem to resemble the
description on Wikipedia, but neither does the National Trust photo.

The Shooting Box Barrow is named after a grouse-shooting hut that stood on the site until it was removed in 1992. It is the only known example of a disc barrow in Shropshire. 21m (68ft) in diameter and 2.3 m (8 ft) high, it is in the centre of a flat circular enclosure 54 m (177 ft) in diameter, the edge of which is defined by a 5 m (16 ft) wide bank, which has been partially destroyed by a modern path. It had been dated between c.1950-1700 BC.

Here's a map showing where the photo was taken:

So can anyone who knows this area confirm if my photo is of the 'Shooting Box' or not?
Thanks
