Found this Tree Tag, anyone know what It means, is It to do with Maps ? 
Found it in a wood just outside Leeds a couple of months ago.

I have also seen trees with these tags on and I am none the wiser. I hope someone has the answer as I would also like to know the reason for them. |

Are trees mapped out by, say, councils, for conservation purposes? Then marked or tagged as incorrect co-ordinates on the original mapping?
