The Rushes Country Park - Leigh Lancs

Hi folks

This Country park has been mentioned in another thread :-

Low Hall Park NR

and before i get in to trouble for taking that thread to far of topic i though i had better start something on a new Thread.

Well what/Where is this 'Rushes Country Park' you all ask.

1 Well its located in Leigh Lancs, Its not far from Pennington Flash.
with access from plank lane , and smiths lane in bickershaw.

2 Its covers over 200hectars of the Old Bickershaw Colliery site the shut in 1992.

3 its now has 1 area designated as a SBI

4 The visitor center was due to open this year BUT issues with :-'the credit crunch', a wind turbine and some newts has delayed the entire project by over a year now and there is still no sign of work starting anytime soon.

5 To date a number of new paths have been built.
A new area of wetland has been created,
The Main access road had been built.

6 once more there are a number of Motorbikes on the site but the local police force do often target these guys.

7 we are still being told that this project will form a key part of an even bigger project that wigan council have on the go 'Greenheart regional park' . It will be nice to see them start work again soon on 'The Rushes'.

Ithink this could be a Marsh Orchid?

i think this maybe some sort of Bolete?

I think this may be a brown roll rim ?

perhaps this is this some sort of milkcap ?
