| | yeoman hey reservoir wander just a quick tootle round today, at Yeoman Hey reservoir in the moors above Greenfield in Saddleworth, lots to see, just a few with pics!
Mainly I wanted to see a personal fave - bog asphodel in bloom, utterly gorgeous flower!
Plus loads of orchids, fairy flax, etc etc and a portent of august purple, cross leaved heath and bell heather in bloom too. Lovely! 
That'll do for now, dont want everyone going.

| | | Re: yeoman hey reservoir wander Lovely pics , we did the three reservoirs a few weeks ago , was on a Monday and dissapointed to see lots of litter around Dovestones , never saw a sole around the next 2 .

Glad you enjoyed the pics - some fab walks up walkerwood, very similar, near you, up at Stalybridge Country Park.
