Lake District log cabin recomendations please

Hello everyone
Im looking to book a break for me and my girlfriend to the Lake District and was wondering if you could help please
I might be asking too much here lol but Ive always loved the idea of staying in a log cabin in a woodland setting surrounded by wildlife, trees (obviously) etc with a gorgeous view of the lake or a log cabin on the shore surround by woodland.
Can anyone tell me if theres places of that sort to stay in the Lake District ? Ideally I dont really want to be in a area thats full of tourists, nice and quiet would be great with nice wildlife walks etc as Ive taken up photography too.

yeah its a lovely place, right out in the middle of the sticks! you got northumbria, then cumbria and to the north, scotland and dumfires & galloway, and carlisle for local supplies.

who cares if ure fishing or not!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s there is hardly anybody there to differ, ive never seen a fisherman there put it that way.

There's these ::Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges:: They are right on the lake in the woods & outside the main tourist centre. I often see the ospreys flying over the bay where these lodges are plus you have red squirrels etc in the woods.

I don't think the lodges are cheap though.

We are planning a weeks holiday in August and the Lake District is top of the list so far as neither of us has been there before, will watch this thread with interest.............

well it looks amazing so i think its out Bassenthwaite and shank wood.
