| | | Re: Salcombe at Easter Would you like me to put names to the places.
1. From the road towards Winters Boatyard/Snapes Point. Probably between Batson Cross and Balls Cross; looking over Collapit Creek towards Kingsbridge.
2. A bit further along the same road.
3. Batson Creek, looking east.
4. An odd angle, but I think Batson Creek again.
5. Looking east, probably from Balls Cross, towards East Portlemouth in the distance.
6. Difficult to see enough but this looks a bit like the top cliff path from Overbecks towards Bolt Head.
7. Looking NE from one of the posh houses overlooking Store Box Cove. The name has changed a bit recently but I think the house is, or was, The Anchorage.
8. Looking up S. Pool creek from somewhere above the park, possibly Allenhays Road.
9. Swans are called George and Mabel.
10. Looking south again from around the Anchorage area.
11. The wild strawberries are blooming early this year.
I always hide away during Bank Holidays (and August) but managed to sneak in some wildlife photos from an isolated wood in the estuary.
Photographed a Peregrine near Bolt Head the week before Easter. But then a crowd with bright jackets, barking dogs and squawking children came along; and started shouting and pointing at it, so it flew off.
May and June are the best times here. September and October can also be good.

| | | Re: Salcombe at Easter Most right there! Number 6 is the footpath above the road that goes along the side of Batson Creek. And Numbers 1 and 2 are actually the same place! 2 is from the stile above Ilton Castle Farm and for 1 I just walked upto the gate Thought number 4 would catch people out; it's actually a panoramic view of the other side of Batson Creek from the road, hence the wierd bend. I was playing 7, 8 and 10 are from Cliff Road walking to the town from Noth Sands. Should have labled them really shouldn't I! Sorry! xxx
