| | | snails in the western isles On a trip to the western isles in summer last year a friend noticed that all the fence post tops were covered in snails. THis was in the isle of Harris. Does anyone have any explaination for this- there are almost no trees there, is this anything to do with it? |

From your description, it sounds as if they were in summer hibernation or aestivation. Tree hugging snails, why? |
