what a brilliant view we got from the very top, a few peaks showing here and there but nothing else but clouds below and blue sky and sun above, lthough it was some years ago , i still remember it as if it was yesterday
made all the effort of getting there more than worth it,

| | | Re: Mt Snowdon. I've only done Snowdon once, via Crib Goch. It rained all day and the wind howled and I have to say I didn't enjoy it one little bit. Tryfan and the Glyders and the Carneddau as well, on the other hand I did in superb weather. Thus I have warmed to these far more than I have to Snowdon. Crib Goch was a bit scary though. I was only a raw prawn when I did it.

| | | Re: Mt Snowdon. seeing snowdon on a bad day makes you think about the slate miners who used the miners track across Snowdon to get home to the outlying villages they lived in,
according to info from the slate museum at the bottom of snowdon, they used it as a short cut and saved themselves several hours on the journey home,
imagine going home in howling winds and rain across Snowdon after a days work in the slate mines working with candle light!!,
its a difficult enough place to be in when the weather is fine and climbers have all the right gear these days, tough guys indeed.
rather them than me,
