| | | Scenic journey to work. Rather than hijack the "where did you walk today" thread, I thought I'd start a "where did you drive today" thread! Part of my 17-mile journey to work each day takes me along the ridge of a hill with far-reaching views of much of north Dorset/south Somerset.
I also go past Sutton Bingham reservoir
And through "Oak Tree Avenue"
I feel so lucky to be able to see all this every day! |

My journey to work is a 2 minute walk

I often pop over to Sutton Bingham as it's only about five miles from me! Is that Oak Tree road going towards Yeovil from SB? Certainly looks familiar. |

Ellen - yes it was a bit of a challenge in the snow, for a couple of days I bottled out and went the long way round along the main road!
Lyn - you are correct. I keep trying to guess from your photos where it is you live, but I haven't succeeded yet! |

Yes, I often see cormorants, little grebe, coots, moorhens, the odd swan and of course, lots of ducks and herring gulls (that's what the white specks in the photo are!).
Various birds of prey have nested in the trees on the far side over the years, but the most notable for me was the pair of black swans that stayed for a couple of days last year.
