Large scale maps for surveys

I need a large scale map to use for surveying my local common and surrounding area(flora and fauna). Can anybody suggest where I can buy/download large scale maps at least 1:10000. Thanks LM

Ordnance Survey do them:

1:10 000 Scale Raster: mid-scale high-resolution detailed mapping

You could use the interactive MAGIC (Multi Agency Geographic Information or somthing) site and then print off the relevent bits of the map. Its free, and you can add different layers onto the maps such as SSSIs and local nature reserves. Just type MAGIC into a search engine.

And you can select whatever scale you want in MAGIC although the pane size reduces the larger the scale.
