Something I wasn't expecting last weekend when we went for a walk!
The standing water in front of the carpark was frozen so hard you could walk on it (it's only about 10 inches deep over most of the area) and all along the strandline there were ice crystals.
I've never known it so cold here...thank goodness it's a bit warmer now!  |

I feel cold just looking at it. Good pic though, unusual. It's going to be milder next week so it should return to normal.

It's an odd feeling isn't it Nicola? We walked on a frozen beach in Scotland a few weeks ago and even the shells were frozen to the sand!!!  | | |
