Just back from a few days over the border in Dumfries & Galloway,Scotland!
We had a wonderful time and were lucky enough to see Greenland White Fronted Geese,Red Kites and Barnacle Geese as well as some stunning scenery.     |

Wonderful shots, Ruth. Just my sort of pictures....that second one with the reflection is beautiful. I managed a couple like that many moons ago on Loch Duich, they remain amongst my all time favourites.
Glad that you had a good break and good weather to go with it. |

It's nice up there isn't it Ruth. A few years ago, my wife and I had a week in a cottage just outside Gatehouse of Fleet, with friends, for New Year. It was great and we saw all the wildlife you described. Thanks for reminding me of it.

The first one is the view we woke to every morning from the B&B.
Chris we love it in Scotland,especially the Highlands but didn't want to risk it at this time of year in case of bad weather but Dumfries and Galloway didn't dissapoint us at all!    |
