| | | Amazing Arne One of the places I love going to most is Arne in Dorset. It has the most stunning scenery as well as some of the best photography opportunities for wildlife. It is so diverse as you will see by the photos below
It is opposite Poole with some amazing marsh land for birds but also the Sika Deer
The autumn colours of the mixed types of woodland add to the stunning scenery
It seems amazing to see the deer on the beach with a town behind!
Even the Brittany ferries are passing close by
But you walk round the corner of the headland and the views are totally different with beautiful coloured scenery all around
I have never failed to come home thrilled with the photos I have taken from a day at Arne so if ever your in that area I would thoroughly recommend it
Linda

| | | Re: Amazing Arne Hi Linda - great to see your photos of Arne, they bring back memories.....
My Mum's got a houseboat (the falling-to-bits looking one) across from there and I've seen deer slots on the beach but never been lucky enough to see the deer. |

| | | Re: Amazing Arne Hello Linda,your photo's are a delight!
I've never been to Dorset but after seeing Autumnwatch and now your pics it's definitely on the list of places to visit!
All that beauty and wildlife so near to such a busy ferryport certainly is amazing! |

I completely agree with you, Arne is really beautiful and Poole Harbour is stunning. I'm lucky enough to live in the Borough of Poole and so these places aren't too far away from me. I'm having a bit of a love affair with Poole Harbour at the moment and I really want to get out on it but weather and work don't permit it.
Jon and I went over to the beach at Arne in a little boat one day at the very beginning of the summer and there was a stag just off the beach feeding on something and he was completely unconcerned about people or whatever around him. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera on me because he certainly didn't mind having his photo taken - probably knew how magnificent he looked. |
