| | | Bradgate Park, 4 miles north-west of Leicester is 1100 acres of rolling parkland with hilly and craggy granite and slate outcrops, which to me always seemed to be out of place with its surroundings. I always enjoyed visiting and on a clear day you can see for many miles, having climbed to a viewpoint. |

| | | Re: strange local formations At Plumstead Common, Woolwich, there are some outcrops of "Pudding Stone"
that look just like lumps of cement aggregate.
