If someone asks me where I've been and I say (eg) Ben MacDhui, they'll say that it's a 'fine hill' ('braw hill' if they're local!). Hillwalkers rarely, if ever, refer to 'mountains'.

Jim | I think you are right here Jim. I certainly think of myself as a 'hillwalker', rather than a 'mountainwalker'. Though I am also aware that to call Sgurr nan Gillean on Skye a hill would be terribly insulting.
