I'll soon be working over at the Business Park one day a week - the challenge will be to get long enough lunch breaks to get a decent wander over the Country Park

I hadn't even heard of the Nathusius' Pipistrelle bat. Is it a new UK inhabitant or a rare/declining native?

It was considered a rare migrant, but now seems to have colonised in a few places. They are found occasionally at the London Wetland Centre.

SS: You could always say 'As I only work here one day a week I miss all the other lunch breaks, so I think I'll take them now' or something. It will afford you five hours then

Just don't accept their offer of all the extra work too

Please feel free to PM me Billy, or pop into the info centre at the Clockhouse Lane entrance, not the Bedfont Road entrance. I will gladly point you in the right direction. We do get a lot of wildlife photographers coming in and some contribute to our image database.

Sorry Adam but I didn't see this before I set off on the 12th.

Unfortunately the course I was on had a lot of people on it so the lunchtimes tended to be reduced to 45 mins. Consequently I only had time to visit on the first day (Monday) when I quickly lost my bearings and ended up at the wrong end of one of the lakes.

I came in through the Clockhouse Lane entrance, parked my car and headed for the first 'Nature Reserve' sign. I tried to walk around the lake (to the left by the road) but there was a double-gate which was locked. So I went and sat on the bench near to the lake.

I didn't see this as a problem at the time because I had the week ahead of me but because of the above mentioned time constraints I never really got the chance to return.
