Dog-friendly Beaches

Hi All,

Apart from Selsey Bill, does anyone know of any beaches in West Sussex where you are allowed to take your dogs, or conversely where you aren't allowed?
I'm taking the nipper to the seaside next week and want to take the hounds with us.

I dont know about West Sussex Adam but after just spending a week in North Yorkshire I can thoroughly recommend the North Bay beach at Scarborough, a beautiful, clean and welcoming dog-friendly beach, our family mutt loved it there.

My friend took her two pups to Littlehampton yesterday, lots of dogs on the beach there.

Sorry, I've just been talking to my friend who says it was West Wittering not Littlehampton. ( I hope you're not on your way to Littlehampton now! )

Like Pat's friends we take our dogs down to West Wittering whenever we're down that way. I think a lot of places have certain areas of the beach where dogs can go.

I do not mind seeing Dogs anywhere, as long as they are under control and not fouling family beaches. Some owners ignore bans (I know you do not )
and I even meet local dog owners in Otter reserves where a strict ban is enforced

Just so people know I live half a mile from the North Beach and both the North and South beach at Scarborough is closed to Dogs from Easter to end Sept,,,,,Much to my choccies annoyance,,,
